Asset Management Team
Closing date:

“Our staff are our most valuable asset”

About us

Michael Dyson Associates Ltd is an established, successful and prominent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy providing a comprehensive range of professional services to the housing sector.  Established in 1980 we have four decades of wide-ranging experience working with clients throughout the UK.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Asset Management Team as a Site Supervisor to manage the site team in undertaking a variety of challenging and ‘hands on’ surveying projects throughout the UK.

The role is varied and will be predominantly site based involving the inspection and assessment of residential properties, including low and high rise buildings.  Assessments are of an invasive nature and will involve the use of hand & power tools to break into the structure of the properties, recording details on the condition and construction.

You will be assisting Project Managers by supervising a team of Surveying Technicians and directing other contractors working on the project whilst on site (use of a company van is provided for site travel).  When not on site you will be office-based assisting with the preparation of reports from the data collected on site. This is an excellent opportunity to specialise in working with buildings of non-standard construction and broaden your construction knowledge.

We actively encourage and fully support, both financially & professionally, successful applicants to continue on a structured training programme with us for progression to membership of a recognised professional body.  We are a training partner with both RICS and CIOB and pride ourselves on offering some of the best APC/PDP support available whilst supporting our employees in achieving their career goals and ambitions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Full, clean driving licence
  • ONC/HNC/Degree level qualified in construction related course
  • Experience in construction industry
  • Basic AutoCAD would be advantageous but not essential
  • A drive to succeed & work as part of a team
  • Willingness to work throughout the UK & due to the varied locations of projects staying away overnight when required

Why join us?

  • Be part of a modern, forward thinking consultancy
  • Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Use of company van
  • Payment of professional subscription fees
  • Excellent fully funded training programme, including paid study leave where required, with regular in-house CPD events to support career development
  • Family friendly benefits
  • Contributory pension scheme & four times salary life assurance
  • Fun social & team building events paid for & organised by the company
  • Long service reward scheme
