The Role

Based at our modern Head Office in Huddersfield, this a fantastic opportunity for either a Trainee/Apprentice Surveyor or Project Manager to join our Contract Administration Team made up of Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers of varying experience from university graduates to more senior qualified professionals.  You will need to be both a team player with determination to drive projects forwards whilst also having the ability to work independently.  It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have successfully completed a relevant BTEC or HND course in construction/surveying and preferably has some industry experience.

You will enjoy a varied workload including the opportunity to act in a supported role as Employer’s Agent, preparation of specifications and schedules of work, site inspections, quality management, attending site meetings, contract administration, cost control, design co-ordination, CDM Consultant/Principal Designer duties, Party Wall Act surveys and property (measured and attribute / condition) surveys.

The majority of time will be visiting construction sites nationwide to inspect works.

Ideal Candidate:

  • BTEC or HND accredited
  • Preferably 2 years’ relevant construction industry experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to travel to various sites across the UK  
  • An organised and methodical approach to work
  • Work effectively under pressure, remaining calm and approachable
  • Confident & articulate manner
  • Is aware of team targets and the role they play in achieving this
  • Enhance the company’s reputation through successful delivery
  • A ‘self-starter’ who is motivated & enthusiastic
  • Committed to career development & progressing towards Professional Institute Membership e.g. RICS, CIOB
