“Our staff are our most valuable asset”

About us

Michael Dyson Associates Ltd is an established, successful and prominent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy providing a comprehensive range of professional services to the housing sector.  Established in 1980 we have over three decades of wide-ranging experience working with clients throughout the UK.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Asset Management Team as a Surveying Technician to undertake a variety of challenging and ‘hands on’ surveying projects throughout the UK.

The role involves the inspection and assessment of Non-Traditional properties, including high rise, to enable our clients to adequately plan for the future.  Assessments are usually of an invasive nature and will involve the use of hand & power tools to break into the fabric of a property to undertake the investigation.

This is an excellent opportunity to specialise in working with buildings of non-standard construction.

We actively encourage and fully support, both financially & professionally, successful applicants to continue on a structured training programme with us for progression to membership of a recognised professional body.  We are a training partner with both RICS and CIOB and pride ourselves on offering some of the best APC/PDP support available whilst supporting our employees in achieving their career goals and ambitions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Coming towards the end of (or recently completed) a ONC/HNC/NVQ construction related course
  • Some construction related experience
  • A ‘can do’ and obliging attitude.
  • A drive to succeed in a challenging environment.
  • A willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work throughout the UK & due to the varied locations of projects staying away overnight when required

Why join us?

  • Be part of a modern, forward thinking consultancy
  • Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Payment of professional subscription fees
  • Excellent fully funded training programme with regular in-house CPD events to support career development
  • Family friendly benefits
  • Contributory pension scheme & four times salary life assurance
  • Fun social & team building events paid for & organised by the company
  • Long service reward scheme
